
SoulBall Skills – Week 5

THIS WEEK’S SOULBALL CHALLENGE:
- Practise each Warm up, Skill & Dribble shown in the videos below
- Practise each skill for at least 3 minutes (you can do longer if you want!)
- Remember to practise with BOTH feet
And, don’t forget to video some of your practice and post it on your team’s Facebook page!

– BALL WARM UP OF THE WEEK –
- Gently tip tap the ball with the front parts of the inside and outside of the same foot
- Staying on the spot (i.e. don’t move forwards), move the ball from side to side
* Practise with both feet
Extra Challenge #1: How many times can you do it without losing control?
Extra Challenge #2: Can you do it with your eyes closed?
– SKILL OF THE WEEK –
- Place foot on the ball
- Push down on the ball and lift your body off the ground
- As you lift, swing your foot and your body 180 degrees
- As you land on standing foot, bend your knee slightly and hold arms out – this helps to keep your balance, to be ready to make the next move and to protect the ball from defenders
* Practise with both feet
Extra Challenge #1: What skill can you do straight after completing the 180 turn?
Extra Challenge #2: Can you you turn more than 180 degrees?
– DRIBBLE OF THE WEEK –
- Gently tip tap the ball with the front parts of the inside and outside of your foot
- Make sure you change direction with each touch, moving from one side to the other
- Focus more on moving side to side than moving forwards quickly?
* Practise with both feet

Extra Challenge #2: Can you do it with your eyes closed?
